A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to non-existent addresses under the exact same domain. For instance, an email sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from partners or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be delivered to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

Configuring a catch-all mailbox will be astonishingly easy in case you have a shared website hosting with our company. You can activate this option through our powerful, yet simple-to-use Email Manager tool, which is part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll administer the web hosting account itself. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you’ve created listed alphabetically and on the right-hand side of each one there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly reveal to you if a certain mailbox gets all the messages for a certain domain name or not. With one click on the icon you can enable or disable this feature at any time. If there’s enabled email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a given domain name, you will get a warning notice from our system. The latter won’t deactivate/replace anything automatically or without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with each semi-dedicated server package that we offer will permit you to create a catch-all e-mailbox with ease even if you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you’ve created using your domains in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will let you know if you’ve already set up a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding enabled. If you reach the decision that you do not need this feature anymore, you can remove it by clicking once again on the same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
